I authored and presented a short paper about Deferral at the 5th Conference on Blockchain Research & Applications for Innovative Networks and Services (BRAINS 2023) in Paris. The paper distills the implementation and evaluation from my Master's thesis at the University of Zurich.
The Deferral Solution
Deferral implements five referral mechanisms as upgradeable Solidity smart contracts. The study evaluates gas usage, transaction duration, and fiat cost across different user volumes and six EVM-compatible networks, making the trade-offs between mechanism, scale, and deployment network explicit.
